The history of our old state hospital, which currently remains in the city center, begins in 1950, before our new building, which began to serve on 10.11.2004. The construction started in 1952 on the land taken through the “Maternity Home Building Association”, which was created by the elders of the region at that time, and was completed.the building, which started its service as a “Health Center” with 10 beds and two services (internal medicine – external), became the first inpatient medical institution of the region. In 1958, upon the increasing patient potential and the need for new services, pediatric diseases and maternity services were opened. Its capacity has been increased to 40 beds.By 1963, however, it was found that the existing building was not enough. Also, with the october building built in the same year, the “Isa Ruhi BAYGUR Maternity Department” obstetrics and gynecology and child services were moved to the new building, and the capacity of 6 wards and 75 beds was reached by opening the eye diseases and bevliye services. Meanwhile, in 1964, our hospital also started providing ambulance service with the dec donated by Alaattin KIRIM. Again in 1975, with the addition of a wing capacity is 100 out of bed, built in 1982 through the Allen brothers and outpatient service at the end of the buildings created with the new arrangement began to provide service with 145 beds. Due to the fact that Söke is a district that receives a lot of immigration, the population density has increased over the years, and as a result of the physical expansion of the district, the hospital building has remained in the middle of the city. Despite the october buildings, it has become unable to respond to the increased patient potential.at the end of the 1980s, with the efforts of the late Recep Yazıcıoğlu, the Governor of Aydın, the Municipality of Söke, the deputies and philanthropists of that time, the first steps were taken to build a modern hospital building worthy of the District of Söke, facing the future, on the land donated in the name of “Fehime-Faik KOCAGÖZ”. The construction of the new hospital building, which was started in 1990, was completed on 07.09.2004. The construction area is 4670 m2 and the total construction area is 19804 m2. In order to open this large and modern structure to the public, financial support was provided by the charitable people of Soke again and our new hospital was opened, which began to serve on 10.11.2004.
