Before our new building, which started to serve on 10.11.2004, the history of our old state hospital, which is currently located in the city center, begins in 1950. The construction started on the land purchased through the “Maternity Hospital Construction Association”, which was established by the dignitaries of the region at that time, was completed in 1952.the building, which started to serve as a “Health Center” with 10 beds and two services (internal medicine – external), became the first inpatient health institution in the region. In 1958, upon the increasing patient potential and the need for new services, pediatrics and maternity services were opened. The capacity has been increased to 40 beds.By 1963, it was found that the existing building was not enough. Again, with the October building built in the same year, the “Jesus Ruhi BAYGÜR Maternity Department” maternity and children's services were moved to the new building, and with the opening of eye diseases and hospital services, the capacity of 6 services and 75 beds was reached. In the meantime, our hospital has started to provide ambulance service with the vehicle donated by Alaattin Decrimin in 1964. In October 1975, the capacity increased to 100 beds with the addition of an additional building, and in 1982, with the new arrangement created at the end of the polyclinic and service buildings built through the Göktepe brothers, services began to be provided with 145 beds. Due to the fact that Söke is a district that receives a lot of migration, the population density has increased over the years, and as a result of the physical expansion of the district, the hospital building has remained in the middle of the city. Despite the October buildings, it has become unable to respond to the increasing patient potential.at the end of the 1980s, with the efforts of the late Aydın Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu, the Municipality of Söke, the deputies of that time and the philanthropic Söke Residents, the first steps were taken for the construction of a modern hospital building, suitable for the District of Söke, facing the future, on the land donated in the name of “Fehime-Faik KOCAGÖZ”. The construction of the new hospital building, which started in 1990, was completed on 07.09.2004. The area where the construction is located is 4670 m2, the total construction area is 19804 m2. In order to put this large and modern building into service, financial support was provided by the charitable Soke people and our new hospital, which started to serve on 10.11.2004, was opened.
