PURPOSE : To inform the relatives of the patients hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit, to ensure accessibility, to reduce their anxiety, to improve the quality of service.


Information about the patient's condition in intensive care is provided to the patient's relatives by the patient's doctor.

Information: Information is provided when the baby is admitted to intensive care and every day, as well as when it is necessary to provide information, information covers the general condition of the baby and the treatment process. 

A visit is provided at least twice a day, provided that the frequency of visits and the number of visitors are determined by the doctor. Visitors are allowed to use personal protective equipment and enter by practicing hand hygiene.

In case of an infectious or epidemic disease and for any reason objectionable to their visit, the patient's relatives are not allowed to visit.

During the visits of the patient's relatives, the newborn is ensured to comply with the entry-exit rules of the intensive care unit to the maximum extent.

The intensive care nurse should be informed about the health problems that your patient has had before and especially about his allergic reactions. For healthy communication, the active phone number of at least two patient relatives should be notified to the intensive care secretary.

The patient's needs are determined by the nurse who accepts and monitors the patient, and the patient's relatives are notified by the relevant doctor or nurse.
